The River {Anyone}

The large tom dipped his head.
" Ahem, well I was a little preocupied by the fox. But I think it might have been Shadowclan..." He sighed heavily.
" I wouldn't be worried about it. Maybe the fox carried it over." He suggested, not really beleiving it, but greatly wanting to.

Sunmist lay down in the sun a moment before padding back in. She turned to Runningfern.
" You wont be going anywhere, fern." She then turned to Maplestar. " I have to go out and get some herbs soon. Basically more poppyseed and feverfew." She sighed. I'll be alone gathering herbs today.

Eclipsemoon sighed and smiled.Sunmist I have to stay here till you say.Oh that will be forever then.He said jokingly.Fern you're stuck at camp with me.That means you'll be tortured.But you seriously smelled shadowclan.They must have come a long way.He grinned. Maybe they eat foxes.

[Sasha]

"You should get that appentice of yours to gather them, Sunmist," Maplestar teased, chuckling. She looked back to Runningfern, her ears lowering slightly. "Maybe," she mused, running her tongue other her teeth. "But maybe not."

At Eclipsemoon's statement, Maplestar laughed. "I highly doubt they eat fox," she finished, taking a breath. "I think the tresspasser, if one at all," she said quickly. "If there's a tresspasser, he or she might be more curious than violent. At least, so I am led to believe. I would feel better if that were the case."

Eclipsemoon laughed.You're right Maplestar they don't eat foxes.But what makes me wonder is why they were here.Solarkit, Lunakit tell me please why were they here.What do they want?Maplestar why did you want to know if we scented anything else?Not trying to be nosey but just curious.

Runningfern looked toward Eclipsemoon with a certain knowing glance, a smiled at Maplestar.

Sunmist rolled her eyes. Runningfern, you idiot...

Fern smiled.
" Well Maplestar, you know what they say about curiosity-"

" Nothing. They say nothing about curiosity." Sunmist turned to Fern and hissed so low that only he could hear her. " Runningfern, you'd better shut that mouse hole of yours before I shut it for you!"

Fern was slightly taken aback.
" Why, Sunmist, are you so edgy?" He chuckled. Whispering back to her. " Don't worry." He turned to Maplestar, this time more serious, and completely sincere.
" With you as leader, Maplestar, I'm sure those trespassers will be trembling in their paw steps, if you catch them."

[Sasha]

Again, things rushed right by her nose, and again she took a step back. Time to think things over, she thought. Maplestar turned her eyes away from the medicine cat and Runningfern and to Eclipsemoon, shrugging. "No reason, really," she replied kindly, faking a grin. "Just...curious."

She let the word hang in silence, staring hard at Runningfern as he spoke again.
Her eyes narrowed to dangerous slits.
"Yes, of course. Now, if you excuse me--" Maplestar turned away, leaving the cats in the den without a backward glance.

Eclipsemoon saw that fake grin considering he knows every trick but didn't say so.Hmm Fern I think the answer to that one is.Curiosity killed the cat so obviously I'm going to get killed.He smiled.Sun can I get something to eat I'm starved.He stood up his tail swishing and his stomach growled.He laughed

Fern laughed at Eclipsmoon's answer.
" Yes, it is." He'd heard it from that freak from Shadowclan, Dreamchaser, at a gathering one moon. He looked over the tom, puzzled by Maplestar's reaction, but even more puzzled by Sunmist's.

Sunmist followed her leader out.
" Maplestar, wait." Her heart thudded dangerously against her chest, her fur fluffed out slightly, her ears twitching. She looked small, despite her efforts, and her hooded head made her looked as if she were trying to hide. " Maplestar...It isn't Ivymoon, you are looking for, is it?" She kneaded the ground in her anxiety, but her face portrayed none of her emotions. Only her voice, was shaken.

[Sasha]

Maplestar paused in her steps, turning back toward the approaching medicine cat. "Sunmist? What--"

Ivymoon.

Her eyes narrowed and wanted to turn away but stayed rooted to the other Riverclanner's forehead. "As a matter of fact," she said slowly, pausing for a breath. "I am. What does it matter to you?" Her voice was harsh and quick, but she immediatly shrugged apologetically for it. It was only a matter of time before Sunmist found out, anyway.

Sunmist didn't let the harshness of her leaders voice phase her. But, she saw that Maplestar apologized, kind of, and shook it off. Maplestar was a good cat.
She looked away thoughtfully,
" Well, Maplestar, I think..." What do I think? Oh, Sunmist, why don't you just keep your snout out of things?" Maplestar," She said more steadily. "I can't force you to do anything, but..." She licked her shoulder nervously. " I would like to know why you want to find her. And, if you go to find her, please let me know. I want to come."

Dude I'm starving why am I being ignored and why did she leave.He was utterly confused.His whiskers twitched and he layed down.Are you hungry Fern.Help me my sisters please.i'm begging you.He sighed and then heard a voice.[pink]you are never alone but we cannot tell you.Well at least we won't.remember we will always love you.They laughed[/pink]I kow I know.He sighed again.They never help me.He said very low.

[Sasha]

The question caused her to hiss the answer: "she killed someone I cared for."
Maplestar took a sharp breath. "And she's not the only one I'm 'looking' for. Two loners, too. I don't know their names, but I believe I've seen them sometimes, once or twice at a gathering. They're in a clan now." She could feel her lips twitch; she wasn't used to talking so much, especially about that. But the deed was done. They didn't deserve to live, and she didn't care if Sunmist agreed or not.

"But I'm not going to go look for them," Maplestar added. "I'm not a hunter, I won't be called a murderer. I know their time will come. And you don't need to worry about it," she added. "At least until it truly concerns you. I highly doubt that it will, Sunmist."
Maplestar smirked. "Your patient is getting edgy," she chuckled, turning away again.

eclipsemoon stuck his head out the den.Ha Ha maplestar I heard that.Besides who said I'm getting edgy.He chuckled and walked out of the den.I'm never edgy.He laughed then sighed.I wonder what my sisters would do if they were here right now.Probnably laughing at me.

Sunmist growled softly.
" Maplestar, you are the clan leader. My clan leader, and my friend." She paused thinking, watching her reaction. " Whatever bothers you, bothers me. But, you're right, you are no murderer." She hissed. " But you need to let it go. You are the clan leader. Look around." She gestured her head to the camp, clan cats bustling around, kits and apprentices playing, elders scolding the young. " If it were any of these cats who'd killed your friend, would you wish them ill?"
She turned around and called to Eclipsemoon as he left,
" No going outside the camp! You can go to your den after you eat."

[Sasha]

"I don't wish them anything," she hissed. "Ivymoon and those other two deserve whatever it is they'll get in the end, whether by my claw or not."

Maplestar paused, taking in the words, following the nod to the rest of the Riverclan camp, bustling with life, around her. "No," she murmured. It almost sounded as if she was breaking. "But then, they wouldn't be proud of it. Ivymoon's a different kind of cat," she added, digging her claws into the soil. "Don't try to defend a cat who would kill you without a second thought of remorse."
With that, she turned away again, walking slowly back to her own den.
