Runningfern sighed.
" Eclipsemoon," He hopped ahead of the other tom, tail high. "Ask him. Don't get me involved. " That was more of a question than anything. His raspy voice was getting worse, and he decided to ask Sunmist for something to cure his itching throat. He trusted that this would sort itself out in the end, the Sunmist thing. He wished that she wouldn't get hurt because of these love sick toms, and gave Eclipsemoon a sympathetic glance, before limping into the den.
" Oh, hello boys." Sunmist purred. Great. I'll never get anything done.
She thought about sending her apprentice out on his own to find herbs, like a test. She sighed. " Ferny, what have you done?" He explained as she pried the needle out from underneath his pad, then taking some moss to mop up the blood. She then turned into the den and reemerged with some honey, feeding it to him for his throat.
" Now, I think it'll be fine. It didn't go in too far." He inquired about hunting. She nodded." Yes yes, go hunting. Eclipsemoon, how about you?" Her eyes were worried, kind and gentle as she asked him.

Im fine Fern just asked me to come with him./I'll meet you at the river.He walked off slowly.When he got to the river he sat down.Alright I won't et him involed but still I think Silver is mad at me.His tail was swishing while he waitd for fern.He saw a fish and caught it.He ate the fish quickly.When he was done he licked the scales off him.

" Well Eclipsemoon? Shall we?" Fern licked his paw tenderly. He didn't care what Sun said, it hurt.
But, he could tell that Eclipsemoon was thinking about Silvertongue, and sighed.
" My good cat," He rasped, sounding like an elder, suddenly looking very tired. " Don't worry. Silvertongue is stupid, hotheaded, vain and irrational. You will find your mate, eventually." He paused a moment, and chuckled. " You and your fish."

Eclipsemoon laughed.Yeah I guess I will.I'll keep you out of it ok.He lashed out his paw and caught a fish and killed it.You know you're right about the hotheaded part.I don't think half the time he thinks.No offense.He licked hi paw and drew it over his ear.Thanks for being my friend.I don't really have many.

" Well Eclipsemoon, he is my brother I should know how he is." He growled. " He's stupid and proud." Runningfern shrugged uncomfortably. He was never good at being all....touchy feely, and stuff. But he guessed cats need friends sometimes. Poor tom.
" Don't worry about it. Now lets go hunting. Can you catch anything other than fish?"Runningfern chuckled. Maybe it was a nervous reaction or something. He looked to the sky.
Starclan, watch over Sunmist for me, please?
Silvertongue growled from his hiding place in the bushes.
How dare he, how dare he talk about me behind my back! He is my brother, talking about me behind my back! I'll have a few words with him, afterwards.
He waited for them both to leave before emerging, tail lashing.
" Stupid brother," He hissed angrily. " Fine. Fine! I'll just get my kills and take them to camp, and I'll wait for them at the entrance, teach my brother a thing or two!" Please with his plan, Silvertongue walked off, kill in paw, planning his mode of attack.

Hmm I might be able to catch a mouse of two.He walked toward the woodlany area.He sniffed and smelled mouse.He dropped down to the hunters crouch and lightly put his paw steps down. When he pounced he caught it and killed it.He picked up the mouse and walked toward Runningfern proudly holding his mouse.He dropped it before him.Hows that.

Runningfern let out a dark chuckle.
" Very good." He suddenly scented his brother on the wind, but hadn't wanted to tell Eclipsemoon. He could already guess what was going to happen he met his brother again.
He saw a small bird, not sure what it was, he lept after it. It flew, but his paws were fast. First on paw shot it down at a small angle-
It faltered, flapping its wings wildly trying to escape. It let out a shrill cry of pain as the other paw finished the job, throwing it to the ground with a dampend thud.
Fern purred.
" How's that?" He couldn't get Silvertongue out of his mind, and it was then he was glad Eclipsemoon was there to take his mind off things.
Sunmist was in the den, sorting herbs and getting rid of the old, useless ones. Silvertongue was in there as well, helping out even though she did have an apprentice. His thoughts were still dark, although his chest felt light as he conversed with the lovely young she-cat. She was talking about something, and he wasn't really paying much attention, as he was still fuming with anger.
Sunmist sighed sadly.
" Silvertongue, are you okay? Let me give you some thyme, you look tense and anxious." Silver nodded, taking it, feeling a little better... and drowsy...

Good job Fern.He scented a bird and soon saw it he crept up on it and then killed it.He picked it up.Are you hungry?He dropped his prey and scented Silvertongue.Fern I smell Silver.He dropped his bird next to the mouse.Do you know why he was here?

Runningfern nodded at the praise, like a senior warrior would have, although he was still fairly new.
At the offering of prey, he shook his head.
" No, we are hunting for the clan," His deep voice stern. " We cannot eat until the clan has it's fresh kill now."
He was suddenly aware that Eclipsemoon had scented his brother. He sighed.
" Just leave it, Eclipse. He's acting like a kit. " He growled deeply. " I'll have a word with him later, though, I'm sure."

Eclipsemoon shrugged Okay.Well what else can you catch.I'll see if I can get another mouse.He walked off and soon got a strong scent.He knew it but what was it.Hmm thats it. Fox! A few seconds later he saw it. Fern I kinda found a fox and it found me too.

Runningfern sighed.
" Oh I can catch mice, birds, rabbits...stuff like that. Sometimes I can catch fish, but not always-" He stopped. What is that scent? It seems stale... So he ignored it, stalking after a small mouse.
It's tail was only a pawstep away, when he was hit with a most offensive stench. Which he recognized immediately.
Fox!
" Eclipsemoon," He growled in a low tone, " Where. Is. The fox?"
They've been out a long time, thought Sunmist as she began to settle down. She shrugged. They're fine....
But after while she began getting restless and nervous for her friends, and decided to ask around the camp if anyone had seen them.
Every answer was no.
She hissed in frustration, and hissing wasn't something Sunmist did often.
Where were they?

Umm right in front of me.Thats where.I could use some help.He dodged it as a paw leashed at him.Eclipsemoon unsheated his claws and struck its muzzle.The fox reared back.Eclipsemoon jumped onto it's back scratching it fercly.Quickly get here please.The fox reared up again and shaking trying to get him off.He sucsesfully did he knocked Eclipsemoon off right at a tree.He stood up dazed.Fern I really need your help.

The large tom heard his friends desperate cries and his heart seemed to be pulled to the earth. Runningfern let out a shriek, his ears pinned back to his head, teeth bared and ran spitting at the red fox.
It growled, looking at him, then Eclipsemoon, then him again, trying to decide whom to attack first. Fern hadn't waited for it to decide, and as he was still running, took a leap at the fox's neck and bit.
It cried out in alarm, thrashing and thrashing, trying to get the cat off. Blood stung his eyes as the fox thrashed, and suddenly he found himself lying on the ground.
" Eclipsemoon! Help me chase him off!" The fox was running, a deep wound bleeding from it's neck, Fern close on his paws.

[green]Eclipsemoon started chasing the fox behind Runningfern.This isn't your territory fo. So leave it.He growled. They finally chased him away and Eclipsemoon stopped runnig. He was panting hard.Good job Fern. You okay. He sat down tiredly.Lets get back to camp and tell Maplestar and get our wounds checked.[/green]
