Runningfern stumbled over his own paws, his head incidentally was still ringing, but he managed to keep up with Eclipsemoon as they chased the fox far out of their territory.
It was an old fox, dying soon anyways, and he was too frail to really fight back. Had the fox been younger and more agile, Fern thought they would have had their tails ripped off.
He nodded.
" Yes, yes I-I think we should go see Maplestar..." And Sunmist, he thought, following Eclipsemoon to the camp.
" Maplestar!?" He called, limping into the camp. " Sunmist...?"

The youngleader lay in her den; it almost looked as if she were napping, but her eyes were wide open [though narrowed to slits.] She gazed at the walls of her new den, thoughts tumbling about in her head.
At first, she didn't hear the warrior call her name, but the echo of it rang in her den. Maplestar's ears perked and she twisted toward the cave entrance, rising to her paws.
"Runningfern?" She asked, her nose twitching quizzically. "What happened to you?" Her ears lowered slightly with worry, pulse quickening. Oh Starclan, she prayed; I'm so new, don't do something like this to me, something like war.

Sunmist came running to the clearing, having been conversing with Silvertongue, who had apparently opted not to come.
She skidded in beside Maplestar, smelling her fear.
Sunmist placed the tip of her tail comfortingly on Maplestar's shoulder, and gazed calmly at her leader as if to say I am with you, I will help in any way possible.
Runningfern panted.
" Maplestar," He bowed his head. " Eclipsemoon and I have found a fox in our territory." He proceeded to explain how they came across it, how Fern guessed it was an elderly fox, how it had been wounded and everything else the tom thought he could explain.
" I think we drove it off." He concluded, " If you want, Maplestar, we could take you there and check...?"

Eclipsemoon began feeling light headed and leaned on Fern for support.Fern I think i'm going to faint.He began feeling dizzy and had to lay down.The world arond him started to spin.I think I hit the tree to hard.After a few more moments of dizzyness he fainted.

Sunmist let out a cry of horror as the tom fell, and began to prod him in the shoulder.
" Eclipsmoon." She called to him. " Eclipsemoon!" Sunmist couldn't do anything, if it were just a hit on the head.
She began to fret.
" Oh dear, can some one help me carry him to my den?" She looked from Runningfern to Maplestar. Runningfern nodded. He wasn't nearly as badly hurt as Eclipsemoon.
He helped her carry Eclipse across the camp and toward the den, where they lay him down on a soft nest of leaves and ferns.

Eclipsemoon groaned.A few minutes later he woke up slowly.Where am I.Oh The medicine cats den.Fern and Sunmist what happened.Why am I here.He thought about standing up but thought better of it.Im gonna be okay right.Nothing broke.I hit that tree really hard I guess.His head cleared and he could see better now.

Runningfern nodded to the warrior, his anxieties being pushed aside for his old, stoical self.
"Good, you're awake. I'll be off, then, Sun."
Sunmist sighed heavily. " Thank you, Fern and," she caught up with him, seemingly out of ear reach of Eclipsemoon. " Don't worry about Silver, alright?" She licked the tip of his ear gently and Fern nodded his thanks before heading toward the warrior den.
Sunmist sighed, troubled, as she walked back.
" Well, can you move?" She asked Eclipsmoon, getting some poppy seed from her stock and some feverfew as well.

[green]I think so.He attemptes to stand up but couldn't.After a few more determined tries he stood up.Okay I can stand.He flicked his ear as he waited patently for her to come back.What are you getting Sunmist.He flicked his tail and he stumbled and sat down.[/green]

She glanced thankfully at Sunmist, glad the medicine cat was there. Ah, well. A fox. "No, no..." Maplestar shrugged. "You chased it off, I'm sure it's injured. If I've learned anything, foxes are--"
And then Eclipsemoon fell. The moments flew by quick enough, and all of a sudden Maplestar was nearly alone. She blinked twice, deciding it best to see how the fainted warrior was doing.
"Eclipsemoon?" She peered into the medicine den without fully entering, hearing the two cats converse. Satisfied he was doing well, she took a step in. "Quite a scare," Maplestar commented, grinning. "How are you feeling?"

Sunmist put down the seeds and feverfew in front of the dizzy tom. Her ears perked as she tried to shake the poppyseeds from her paw.
" Eat them. Feverfew first." She gestured to the plant with the tip of her tail. " That will help with head-pain. The poppyseed will help with other aches. Eat those at about-uh, sunset." She pointed to the seeds gingerly with one paw then, seeing Maplestar walk in she padded over calmly, although her eyes betrayed her worry.
" Maplestar," She bowed her head and sighed. " Eclipsemoon and Runningfern will be unable to participate in any patrols for a while, not until their wounds heal. Make sure they do not try to sneak in." Her voice was stern and certain, although she still felt slightly uncomfortable telling the clan leader what to do.
She'd get used to it.

Okay I'll eat it.He ate the feverfew obidently.Ill be fine Maplestar don't worry. Eclipsemoon layed back down.Wheres Fern.No more patrols for now.Oh come on.This ain't fair.What about Fern I hope he's okay.Hmm whats up ith Silver though.

Maplestar gave the medicine cat a grin. "No problem," she said, eying the tom. "I'll keep my eyes on them." She was thankful for Sunmist; she wouldn't have stopped them otherwise, she knew, even if she'd felt like she should have. It feels funny, she thought. Being a leader.
"Glad you're already feeling better," she answered slowly, taking a step forward. "I have an important question, Eclipsemoon; when you were chasing the fox off the terratory, you didn't catch any other clancat's scents, did you?" Her voice cropped slightly to a mutter, not to keep away from Sunmist, just to keep from worrying anyone who might be walking past. At least, that's what she told herself.
Stupid she-cat wouldn't dare tresspass, she thought. But with a cat like that, who knew? Maplestar had tresspassed; once. She blinked out of her memory.

Eclipsemoon got up .He thought for a moment I didn't get anything but Fern might have.He shifted his weight.I could go back and check.He said jokingly. He layed back down.How long without not being out of camp.

( Oh no! Sorry guys, it just always said Eclipse so I thought nothing had changed !!! So sorry...)  Sunmist heard, though Maplestar hadn't wanted her to. It worried her to think of what might happen. She shook these thoughts out of her head. Without a deputy Maplestar needed her medicine cat to be constant and calm under emergency. She needed to speak with Maplestar after, maybe, about that. It's something that's been bothering her for what seemed like moons.
" Until I say so." She flicked Eclipsmoon's ear playfully, though her eyes were serious. Silvertongue yowled in surprise.
" Are you okay?" He asked Runningfern, who just grunted. " A fox?? You fought a fox without me? If I were there, well I woulda.." He sighed, seeing Ferns accusing glance.
" I'm sorry. I'm a stupid tom." His head drooped at the answer.Fern stopped just before laying in the nest beside his brothers. He'd remembered smelling something...Shadowclan scent, he thought. As he was about to turn around he heard Silver try to cover his tail.
" Stupid...that's just scratching the surface." Runningfern growled as he left the den. He couldn't be with his brother anymore, he had no more patience for him today.
Fern passed Sunmist, giving her a nod before entering the den.
He saw Maplestar speaking in a hushed voice with Eclipsemoon, and heard the latter end of the conversation.
He growled. But then a strange thought popped into his head, and he suddenly began to wonder why Maplestar was so interested. Lets do a little test then, he thought. He had scented something thats for sure. But he wondered if she was interested in a, particular ,scent.
" Yes, I scented something..."

She chuckled, pulling her head back and glancing at Sunmist. Too bad, she thought, her tail twitching slightly. She turned as if to leave the den, but Runningfern's voice stopped her.
Maplestar was honestly not worried bout the tresspasser stealing food or killing cats [other than herself, anyway.] But if the Shadowclanner had been tresspassing, who knew what no-good deeds she was up to? Maplestar huffed slightly.
She somethinged her head, forcing herself from sounding excited whatsoever. "Really?" She asked slowly, her face brightening a tad. "Could you tell what it was?"
