Alright so how this'll work is that I will place several challenges below. you DO NOT POST HERE. ok? Complete the stages correctly and nicely then I'll judge and see who wins ok?
Prize: Windclan Leader Position
-------------------
~1~
Roleplay. Please finish the paragraph given below with the character given below:
-Character-
Name: Crystalfur Age: 17 moons Gender: She-cat Short description: Pure white she cat with blue eyes Short history: She was mainly a loner her entire life, even as a kit. She was just made a warrior and is entirly loyal to her clan, except for her crush on Thunderpatch of Thunderclan. Short personality: Kind, loving, loyal, smart
-Hunting Challenge-
As day faded into night the rabbits and mice began to bed down. But some other predators roamed. A fox darted across the landscape to it's burrow, a small feild mouse locked between it's jaws. A steady breeze blew silently across the plains as the White she cat made her way past the Shadowclan border and towards fourtrees, a one cat patroll. She kept her tail close and stayed alert. Ahead a rabbit continued nawing on a blade of grass, looking directly at her it ...
-------------------
~2~
In this task I will give you a badly written post, you 'can't' change anything, just modify it so it looks and sounds better, ok? For instance if it was a hunting thread that just sayd Crystalfur pounced on it and killed it then walked home, explain how she did it and how she got home, alright?
NOTE: use the same cat as before, Crystalfur
-Modify Challenge-
It was day when Crystalfur set out for a small hunting mission, alone. She walked fast across the plain as she scented every once in awhile for a mouse or rabbit. But when she stoped to look around she spotted a rabbit not to far away. Dropping ot a crouch she began to sneek up onto the rabbit untill she was a fox-length away. Smiling she pounced and knocked the rabbit over, killing it with one bite. Picking up the rabbit she turned towards home and began to carry/drag it back to camp.
-------------------
~3~
Cerimony challenge, alright this'll test your creativity. Below will be a list of names of cats that need to be apprenticed, and to whom they are apprenticed too, there are also apprentices that need to be made warriors. Please write up a cerimony and send it to me, it must contain every cat and extra details about the leader you chose to act.
~Cerimony Challenge~
Apprentices -> Warriors ---------------------- Blackpaw Garnetpaw Leafpaw Waterpaw Crowpaw
Kits -> Apprentices & Mentors ---------------------- Coalkit - Cloudpelt Mistkit - Rockclaw Tankit - Adderwind Snakekit - Rabbitfur Midnightkit - Shadoweye

A pure alabaster tom stalked into the clearing, a few paces in front of his mentor, Darkheart. His graceful limbs carried him to the very edge of the dusty hollow before he settled himself down, waiting. Fogpaw's ivory pelt was speckled with the dry dust; he could have been mistaken by one who did not know him as that from birth. His fluffed-up tail was still, intent on not raising up yet another duststorm.
A faint breeze whistled through the secluded hollow, making the fur on the back of Fogpaw's neck rise up in anticipation. His long dagger-like claws were unsheathed, ready to begin the training fight. Fogpaw was a WindClan cat, by no doubt, but his personality resembled that of a ShadowClanner. Though his pelt was snowy, his interior was that of a gloomy day. He enjoyed fighting, and anticipated battles. "Now, Fogpaw," his mentor, Darkheart advised. "Don't be over-confident. Remember everything that I have taught you, and you should be fine."
Fogpaw nodded his head slightly, such a small angle that none would be able to tell but his mentor, who knew his every quirk. And Fogpaw's greatest weakness was his over-confidence, thinking that his ability extended beyond that of all his peers, and even some of the more immature warriors. Fogpaw's skill was great, but he still had much more to learn. Darkheart had quickly set his apprentice straight on their first day of training; the mentor is the one to teach, not the apprentice. For Fogpaw had believed that he was greater than Darkheart.
His emerald eyes combed the brush and the horizon, searching for the day's opponent. The other tom looked like he could be a clone of Fogpaw, but went by the name of Cloudpaw. Fogpaw stood up, impatient for Cloudpaw to come and for the training battle to begin.

Cloudpaw, a brilliantly white tom, entered the training clearing just ahead of his mentor. Ottertail was possibly the best mentor he could ever hope for, he taught him everything he knew, not to mention Ottertail was his own father. Fighting was on todays agenda, Cloudpaw knew this because he had over heard Ottertail and Snakebite talking about it the previous night. He quickly stalked over to Fogpaw, whom he knew would be his opponent today.
"Hello Fogpaw," he mewed upon stopping to sit in front of his old nursery-mate. While waiting for a response from Fogpaw, he directed his attention to the sun and lifted his chin slightly, welcoming the warm rays that he knew he would later seek shelter from. But for now they felt good; they rided his body of tiredness and the cold that always came with night. Turning back to Fogpaw he asked "Are you ready for our fight today? I'm excited, can't wait to start either, how about you?" Cloudpaw felt energized from the suns comforting rays, now only if they felt this good all the time he would consider his life Starclan on earth.

Fogpaw lifted his head to acknowledge the other apprentice. "I too, am excited, as you put it, for our fight," he said coldly, the polar opposite of Cloudpaw's enthusiastic tones. He, too, was also eager for the battle, but not in the same way that Cloudpaw was. Not in the same naivety that his opponent was feeling. "Claws unsheathed?" he asked in a bored tone, just following customs. Of course he assumed that claws would be unsheathed, it was a battle after all.
Darkheart nodded. "If they want to, I'm fine with claws," he agreed. "Ottertail and I can pull you two apart if we need to!" joked Darkheart, giving Ottertail a friendly nudge in the ribs. "Not that you guys will be clawing each other apart...will you?" he asked, narrowing his blue slits of eyes at the apprentices.
Fogpaw groaned and rolled his eyes at his mentor, not amused. Darkheart shot him a fierce glare, and motioned him away from Cloudpaw. "Fogpaw, you remember that this is a training battle. Not a real battle. This is not an excuse for you to have fun clawing other cats to shreds. If you do, I will personally stop the fight, haul you out of there, and declare Cloudpaw the winnder. Understood?"
Fogpaw nodded eventually against his will. "If you insist," he said, acting as if he didn't care at all. Was Cloudpaw too soft to fight like that? he wondered. Or perhaps Darkheart didn't want Fogpaw showing off.
[ooc;; yep, this is his over-confidence playing up. Not that I don't think that Cloudpaw will be an excellent fighter. I'm just giving Fogpaw's opinion. And he's just that type of cat -shrugs-] [/color]

Cloudpaw layed his ears back slightly at Fogpaw's un-welcome tone. I'm made Cloudpaw's happy-go-lucky spirit fade and was replaced by flaming anger. Narrowing his eyes he spat "Only a mouse-brained fool would ask if claws would be unsheathed or not!" He turned around from facing Fogpaw with a scowl on his face. He didn't raise his head except to look at his mentor, who shot him a disapproving glance. Cloudpaw knew what he had just said to Fogpaw was wrong but he was mad, and that wasn't good.
Ottertail swished his long dark-brown tail back and forth. "Cloudpaw, do not disrespect your fellow apprentice. Even if his words angered you remember, two wrongs don't make a right." Turning to Darkheart he said "I doubt Cloudpaw will need your assistance, even if things get too bad. If you can't tell your apprentice to stop and they do what you say, then your apprentice shouldn't be here." Harsh words to his fellow warrior and friend, but truly, thats how he felt about the situation right now. "Cloudpaw," he said in a demanding voice turning to his apprentice and son "Apologize to Fogpaw, then you two may start your battle. I'll say the words, if thats fine with you Darkheart."
"Sorry," said Cloudpaw with absolutely no emotion in his voice. "Can we start this fight now? May the better apprentice win, Fogpaw." As his voice ended he unsheathed his short stubby claws, pearly white, like his fur.
"Okay, you two may start. Let the fight, begin!" There was an excited tone at the end of his words. He knew his son wouldn't let him down. Even if Cloudpaw lost, he would have put up a good fight." The two apprentices stayed still for the moment, perhaps to choose their first attack, or defense moves. Ottertail looked towards the rising sun, he hoped that this battle would end quickly. He turned his attention back to the training clearing to watch the sparring take place.
<ooc-:- it's fine, Cloudpaws acting how I would if that happened to me in real life. Also hope its fine that I went and started it, I just want it done and I don't know how much longer Im going to be by a comp. >

Darkheart listened to Ottertail's words and shrugged. "Apprentices will be apprentices," he said, and turned quickly around to Fogpaw. In a harsh whisper, he started speaking. "You will not disgrace me with your tongue. The real battle is on the field, not off of it. You do not want to loose before you begin, do you hear me?" Fogpaw rolled his eyes and replied.
"If you insist," he monotoned, all respect gone from his voice. Fogpaw's sharp tongue had gotten him into trouble many times before, but the elders had benefited from this as he brought them a lot of new bedding. Darkheart and all the rest of the cats that took an interest in him had hoped that all this punishment had cured him from the bad habit, but it was no good in the end.
Darkheart turned yet again to readdress Ottertail. "I am sure that Cloudpaw will be fine, but Fogpaw sometimes gets a bit into his fighting," he said icily.
Ottertail asked to start the battle; as it was his son fighting, Darkheart gave a nod of consent. He uttered the words, and the two apprentices got ready. Fogpaw unsheathed his jet-black claws, sharpened like a knife. He started pacing around Cloudpaw, re-observing the clearing, the weak spots to attack, and the places where Cloudpaw would have the advantages. He would let Cloudpaw have the first attack; he would strike back with a counter-move, and then dive in while - hopefully - Cloudpaw was still recovering.
The apprentice, was still, at this time, circling around his opponent. No expression at all was on his face, he wasn't going to give any sign of his plans, or of his feelings. Fogpaw knew that Cloudpaw was going to give it his best shot, for he had riled him up with his haughty tones. That, too, was part of the greater scheme. If you lose your head to anger, your body would soon follow. Hopefully, Cloudpaw would help Fogpaw's plan execute perfectly with no hitches at all.
He braced his small frame, getting ready for the first attack, whether it went to his advantage or not.
[OrderOfCranberries;; that's fine, that's what I would have done too. But I was thinking that I might...spice it up a bit.]

"Believe me Darkheart, many cats get into their fighting. Cloudpaw has honor with his fighting, while Fogpaw has power. Though who is to say that his power will beat Cloudpaw's honor. Fortunately for us we get to see it all unfold." Ottertail had finished his words when he saw Fogpaw start to pace around Cloudpaw. Cloudpaw may seem small, slow, and insignificant, but Ottertail knew he has power within his body; his mind was quick as was he. "We shall finish our discussion after the battle," Ottertail told Darkheart in a whisper, then calmly turned his attention back to the now 'battle field'.
Cloudpaw closed his eyes. Breathing in and breathing out, clearing his mind, and focusing. He could hear Fogpaw's heavy footsteps hit the dusty clearing, and he could feel a slight sense of power. Perhaps Fogpaw thought he was better than Cloudpaw, and after considering this an option, Cloudpaw knew he was right; Fogpaw always thought he was better. Cloudpaw could hear Fogpaw's footsteps to his left, circling around him. This gave him a small amount of time to think.
I could jump on his back, or I could dive, or I could dive for him, or... He made him stop thinking, his thoughts were cluttering his mind, and he could already hear Fogpaw's footsteps on his right. ...or I could just trust my instincts Cloudpaw knew that was the answer, his instincts hadn't failed him yet, why should they now. Hey opened his deep emerald green eyes and saw Fogpaw's could emotionless face stare back at him. Cloudpaw grinned, unsheathed his claws, and leaped for his shoulders, not a bad move come to think of it but it could have been better planned, but he wanted to open the fight and get it over with.
<OrderOfCats-:- Gurr, I wish you would have started the fight. Remember we only get 3 attack and 3 defensive moves...incase you forgot.>

"That is true," said Darkheart in response to Ottertail. "But perhaps your opinion might be slightly biased...Cloudpaw is your son, is he not?" Darkheart turned Ottertail out of his mind and focused on the pending fight. Fogpaw was pacing around Cloudpaw; that was good, he was studying his surroundings.
Fogpaw came to a halt. He had learned all about the area that he could in that brief amount of time. His body motionless, waiting for Cloudpaw to strike, to make the first crucial move. Both cats were still for the moment, thinking, biding their time.
Cloudpaw sprang for his shoulders. Fogpaw's mind whirled, trying to think of what he needed to do. But thinking took up too much time. Cloudpaw was flying in the air at him, in the direction of his shoulders. Fogpaw tried to duck, but he was too late. The other apprentice had connected point-blank with him, drawing blood.
Fogpaw fell to the ground, wincing, but he needed to recover before Cloudpaw could attack him again. He scrambled to his feet quickly, blood dripping down his left shoulder. The pain wasn't that intense, but it hurt enough to distract him from his fighting and give Cloudpaw the upper hand. Not having enough time to plan out his next move, he tried to leap onto Cloudpaw's back. He jumped into the air, making sure that his aim was correct, and hoped for the best.
[OrderOfCranberries;; wait...this contest fight isn't about winning or losing, is it?]

Ottertail shrugged his shoulder and shook his head. He was giving Darkheart his opinion as Darkheart had given him his. Just because Cloudpaw was Ottertail's son did not make his opinion on who he thought would win, he actually didn't say he thought Cloudpaw would win, he had only said that who said power should always beat honor. But that's the past, the present was the fight, and Cloudpaw had just dealt a blow that had made Fogpaw bleed...
Cloudpaw was glad that his move hit Fogpaw right where he had aimed it too. But Cloudpaw had landed on his stomach, nearly knocking the wind out of him. Laying sprawled out, Cloudpaw had turned his head in time to see a white flash about to land on the middle of his back. He didn't know what to do, then he thought of it, and quickly had to act, or else it wouldn't matter what he had thought of.
He quickly rolled over in place and stuck his paws up in the air. This made a barricade, and made it difficult for him to have his soft belly scratched to shreds. Also, if Fogpaw was to stay on him too long, he could easily use the belly rake option on him. Cloudpaw was letting himself think too far ahead again. He had to focus on the present, no matter how close the future was to happening, he would be better to think about now. Cloudpaw layed there waiting, almost consumed in a small dust storm from what he fur had flung up when he rolled.
<OCC:-: I dunno, I have no idea what Raven is looking for in this post>
