Ravenstar nodded, "I enjoy picking their names though, but it is hard matching it to their personality." Pulling his tail closer to him Ravenstar watched the waves lapp at the shoreline. Turning his silvery gaze to Iceflame he shrugged, "Right now we only have two kits to be apprenticed, so I just need two warriors. The hard part is picking which ones deserve an apprentice. Who is experienced enough, who is responsible enough, and who has been warrior long enough." Flicking one ear back he looked down towards the ground just as a squirrel landed on the ground, it then darted away.

[yellow]"Oh well that's interesting"She swished her tail still staring at the lake."When you were made a warrior did you ever feel you wouldn't fit in?" She asked wonderingly.Her ears twitched. "Sometimes I feel as if I don't belong here or won't fit in." she confessed[/yellow]

Ravenstars ears flicked back, "Didn't fit in?" He swallowed nervously, "Yes, no one liked me. When I was first made a warrior I sat vigil alone, with no one to come and greet me. My mother, Flintfire, was my only friend." Letting his silvery gaze drift away he looked out to the lake once again, and with that the reflection of the sky. "I didn't have a comfortable kit hood or apprenticeship like most cats."

Did cats think that you weren't the right leader for Thunderclan then."Her tail tip twitched nervously. the wind hit her unexpectedly and almost knocked her off the tree. "Did you ever one day want kits?" Iceflame was curious. Her tail tip twitching madly.[/yellow]

He nodded "It was". His muscles tensed when the wind gust hit Iceflame, but relaxed when she caught her balance. Turning his gaze to teh tree branches above and their trembling leaves he sighed and nodded. Closing his eyes he spoke "Yes, yes I do." His mind drifted for a moment as the birds chattered to themselves and the wind whistled through the trees around them. The russling of leaves pulled him back out of his thoughts and he began concentrating on staying on the branch.

[yellow]Iceflame's tail twitched and looked at the lake closer."I actually never really took time to wonder if I was going to have kits or not. Now that I think about one day I'd love to.".Her whiskers twitched."I always wanted to be clan leader one day but I can't ever imagine you losing all your lives besides I'd miss you way too much."Her tail twitched at the thought Ravenstar losing all his lives. She stared at Riverclan territory she thought she saw a cat but wasn't sure.[/yellow]

Ravenstar nodded, "Kits are great, but I'm sure they can be a handful". Turning his silvery gaze to Iceflame he nodded, then gave a half smile. "Being clan leader is tough work, you have to know when to fight and when to back down. So it has it's highs and lows." He paused, "Don't worry, I'm careful, and I still have nine lives left." Swishing his tail around to his other side he stared down at the lake. His thoughts once again drifted to a 'friend' of his, Falconshadow.

((ok instead of reposting 'The wind hit her fur' try different ways of saying that like, 'As the wind continued to blow Iceflame's fur bristled' or 'The wind continued to make it's way along the clan grounds, causeing the leaves in Sky Oak to shake. Turning Iceflame closed her eyes as a large gust of wind buffeted her pelt' and Instead of saying 'She wondered who would go' try a thought 'I wonder if Dartpaw, or I will go.'))

Ravenstar shook his head, "Not yet, but I know that we will have the gathering soon. Last time Windclan didn't make it, hopefully this time they will". Turning around on the branch he looked to the ground as the wind, once again, shook the tree. "Lets get to the ground, I don't want one of us breaking a leg by getting blown off of the branch." Pushing himself off the branch and landing nimbly on then next, Ravenstar made his way down.

Ravenstar landed neatly in the soft leaves on the forest floor. Looking to Iceflame he nodded "Fine". Takign a few steps away from the tree he sat in the shelter of a large bramble bush, turning to Iceflame he paused. "Fishwhisker" His whiskers twiched in slight amusement, "He was always made fun of because of his name, but he was a great mentor". Turning his gaze to the lake he sighed, he missed his mentor dearly. "He was going to be the next choice for deputy, but then he passed away."

Iceflame began to get a bit dizzy.Hold on a sec I need to get something to eat.She lifted her jaws andsmelled mouse and soon spotted it.She put her staps down slowly and pounced with a swift bite to the neck.She finished it in a few ravenous gulps and walked back over to Ravenstar.If your hungry I'd be glad to catch you one.[/yellow]

Ravenstar shook his head "No it's ok, he was old, one of the older and wiser warriors. He was almost an elder." Nodding when Iceflame spoke he watched with curiosity as she stalked the mouse, he thought about hunting for a moment then decided not at the moment. "No no I'm ok, I'll hunt for myself and the clan on the way back." He paused and thought back to earlier in their conversation about his mentor. "I've had several friends pass away, my best friend, deputy and my mentor." Closing his eyes he sighed, death was not a fun thing.
