If I told you my past...
The camp was quiet as the sun began to rise over the horizon.
The soft muffled snores of cats as they echoed out of the dens.
The leaves of the trees hiding the camp, waving slightly as a thin
morning breeze rolled threw the forest. A small mouse nibbled on
a seed that fell next to it's home, it's small tan paws sratching at
the seed at a sad atempt to lift it from under a leaf. A starling
streaching it's wings as it woke from a cool night's sleep.
Claws unsheathed as two jet plack legs streached. A peice of
moss falling to the stone floor as a noble leader sat up in his
bed. Shaking his head he yawned, revealing sharp white teeth,
and a rough pink tounge. His silver eyes searched the cavern as
he captured his bearings, and stood shooting a glance out the
entrance. Lonelyness was a sad thing. He flicked his ears back as
he shook his body, ridding it of dust and moss, and any other
bedding from the nights sleep. He paced forward out into the
bright sunlight of the morning, sitting on the ledge, gazing down
into camp. Looking to the warriors den he sighed, he needed to
appoint a deputy, but he had lost a dear friend and didn't want
to replace her.
Foxclaw was a firey tempered she-cat that had been his friend in
the nursery, and all the way through to warrior hood. He shook
his head sadly as he remembered her death, a violent death by a
raiding rogue. Sighing he opened his eyes after shutting them
against the sun. Standing up he turned and stepped down onto
the rocks that made a small trail to the dirt floor of the camp.
Paws stopping as they touched the dirt he looked up and around
for anyone whom might be awake, no one it seemed. Blinking he
looked to the fresh kill pile, they'd need to hunt today, but he'd
leave the last few peices for everyone else, he wasn't hungery
anyways. Paddin by the fresh kill pile he stopped as he noticed a
bird picking around the pile, trying to find a good peice of food.
Unsheathing his claws he moved towards it silently, but it looked
up and darted away before he was even a fox length away.
Standing back up he turned towards the entrance and exited
camp. Climbing up the slight incline that led to camp he entered
into the cast forest of Thunderclan territory. Blinking he parted
his jaws and drew in a deep breath, nothing but an old scent
trail of Foxclaw. Pushing his feelings away he moved forward,
deeper into the forest. His eyes fell on the small body of a mouse
finding it's way back to it's den with a few seeds and grass
blades. The thought of catching it ran through his mind as it
escaped under a thron bush, so he just ignored it as he passed.
Swishing his tail to his side he entered a small clearing with short
grass, and his gaze moved up the tall trunk of Sky Oak.
Walking over to the surfaced roots of the tree he gazed into it's
tall branches. Blinking he folded his back legs and launched
himself into the lower branches of the large oak tree. Taking a
breath he continued to climb to one of the thicker branches of
the Sky Oak. Balencing himself on the tree limb he slowly made
his way onto the thick branch and seated himself. As he did he
looked up and a sectacular view revealed it's self. The sparkling
lake that sat in the center of the Four clans territory reflected the
light from the rising sun. Sighing he gave a half smile, he loved
this spot, he could gaze out over the lake and he had a small
view of Shadowclan and Windclan territory, but full view of
Riverclan. Pulling his tail around him he blinked sadly, not even
this could take away the pain from a lost friend.
