((Please Lightflight, keep in mind that some of us are in highschool, like me a junior, and have loads of homework and stuff. And yes, I just lost a friend. Please excuse me for this lateness))
Ravenstar watched silently as the cats jumped, tumbled and snapped, a mock fight that seemed like a very real, easy, fight. He noted that Lightflight kept glancing towards the mountains, but ignored it, for the moment. He moved from his rock and paced up to the two tom cats, his eyes flicking over Lightflight before he nodded to Firestorm. "Nice job" he paused, "The both of you." He turned to Lightflight and looked into the tom cats eyes. "Do you promise to protect the clan with your life? As well as stand by and learn the clan way under watch of a warrior?"[/color]

Firestorm nodded and stepped back as Ravenstar invited Lightfight. He approved Lightfight's techniques were good. He found this loner could do well in Clan life. Firestorm licked his chest flatening his fur and drew his paw over his ear continuing to cleaning up. His wiskers wer clean already. He waited for Lightfight to accept. He watched just to the side.

"Oh I promise to protect the clan all right." Lightfight said firmly. "But learning? Well I've already had a mentor. And she taught me all she knows. For quite a while I was a warrior of no clan." Lightrfight then smiled. "But now I;m a warrior of Thunderclan."

Ravenstar nodded to the first part but flicked his ears back at the second. He narrowed his eyes and glanced to Firestorm, frankly he didn't like the tom cats comment. He flicked his tail to his side and jerked his head back towards camp. "You'll learn the clan ways whether or not you have been trained before. You need to learn the clan ways and how we work, but if you don't want to..." He gazed into Lightflight's eyes for a moment, "Well?" If he accepts he will be as an apprentice for the time being, I do not like this cats attitude at the moment, respect needs to be learned.[/color]

Lightfight kept his expression netraul as he spoke. "I know the clan ways. My mother was a warrior of this very clan. And she taught me everything she knew about this clan." Lightfight paused there as he thought about what to say before he did speak. "If I did agree to learn the clans way you would make me an apprentice. And that I cannot be. Just like I have told you I am a warrior. Like all warriors of this mighty clan they have eraned there name. As have I."

Firestorm caught his leader's gaze. Lightfight was treding in dangerous waters. He didn't like how Lightfight was talking about knowing clan ways. He had something to say but it wasn't his place. This cat had skill but he laced respect for Ravenstar and he knew Ravenstar didn't tolorate it. Watch your step. Firestorm thought to himself. You never know perhaps our clan ways have changed from when you leadered them... He thought.
