Abandoned kit

The large chausie's eyes locked on the young kit as he spoke. Brave little fellow he thought calmly as he took a small step forward. He paused just a mouse length from the kit and watched him as Darkpaw spoke. Alone? "Tell me....Avengerkit. Who are your parents?" He paused for a long moment, giving the kit time to answer before speaking again. "So have you heard of the clans before? Or is this the first time you have meet the clan cats?" If Avenger was older he would be more harsh, or stern, but Ravenstar had a soft spot for kittens.[/color]

Avengerkit paused and took a step back giving more room between him and the leader. Too close... He thought. His tail twiched from side to side. "I don't know them but my father has the same eyes, and my mother is dead." Avengerkit began. He then stood streching his sore mucles. "This clan stuff is diffrent, I have never met or seen a clan cat till now." The black and white tom meowed.

"Sorry, kid," Silversun grinned, taking a step away. "Nice t'meet you, in any case, Avengerkit. I'm Silversun. I--" she paused, spotting Ravenstar from a distance and, with a respectful nod, stepped nonchalantly backward until she spun and leaped into the warrior's den.

"Silversun?" Stargazer blinked, confused. When her leader spoke she jumped, startled, before spinning to greet him with a low dip of her head. "Good evening, Ravenstar," she purred in return, then turned to Darkpaw as he answered, placing herself a small distance away from her leader and listened intently.

Poor kit, she thought sadly, but her face remained the same: blank yet attentive, glancing from Darkpaw to her paws.

Ravenstar seemed so...serious. His eyes flashed as the kit answered with his first response, then he waited until the kit finished speaking. A small half-smile crossed his face as he swished his tail and turned away from the kit. He eased up a bit and circled away from the kit, back the way he came from, but then he paused and turned to Avengerkit. He had wanted to give the kit some distance before speaking. "Do you wish to join Thunderclan?" He waited calmly for an answer, he shifted slightly and swept his gaze over the cats, finally letting his eyes rest on the apprentice. "You did good". He turned to Silversun, "Evening"[/color]

Avengerkit waited for a moment again. Did he want to join? He wasn't sure because would this do anything for him if he joined? Avengerkit thought about his answer. Maybe i can destroy my fatehr if I join. He's going to pay. His thoughts were dark, and something flashed across his eyes. Avengerkit brough his gaze back up to Ravenstar. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Then yes I would like to join." Avengerkit mewed finally. But what do I do here? Maybe I'll go hunting tommorrow or check out the surounding area. He thought. Avengerkit hated rules hopefully there were none.

Ravenstar looked from the apprentice and the warrior to the kit. He'll need a mentor...maybe Silversun? He wasn't sure if the she cat even wanted an apprentice, but he shrugged it off. Turning his silvery eyes onto the kit he smiled and nodded, "Great! If you would, you can follow us to camp and we will get you settled. But tell me Avengerkit, have you ever been around cats your age?" He smiled, a mischievous glint in his eyes, maybe this kit would fit in nicely with the clan?[/color]

Avengerkit wondered was Ravenstar was thinking. His red gaze holding Ravenstar's for a moment and then he followed after Ravenstar. The leader's question hung in his mind. "No, I've never seen anyone other than my father, and other rouges who's names I don't know." Avengerkit answered. He wasn't too thrilled about other kits but he didn't let on about it.
