Branchpaw was up and around early afternoon. The sun was high and it was unusally warm out today, though the cold winds never stopped. She streched and saw the kits by the nursery complaining to the queens who were sunnign themselves. Branchpaw smiled and paddeled over to them. "How about instead of pestering your mothers how about you play a game of tag with me." She mewoed cheerfull. Many of them cheered oput her name and tagged her. "Your it!" They squeeled and ran off in different directions. Branchpaw was gental and she ran after one and then came infront of him and tagged him. "Your it!" she yowled adn then bounced off with the other kits. Branchpaw beleived sometimes you have to just losen up and have fun. She wasn't like the other older apprentices who only cared about fighting and hunting though she beleived they were important awell, having fun was important too. Besides she wasn't training today giving her mentor his break and yesterday Seastorm had shown her some moves it counted.

Crowclaw was sitting by the warriors den when he saw Branchpaw leave the apprentices den to go play with the kits. It seemed like she had a way with the kits and she seemed like she'd make a good queen someday, but the large tom had trouble believing that there was nothing to do. However, he didn't call her over to see if there was something she could be doing that was productive like he normally would have. After all, if he was only going to be sitting around camp it would be hypocritical to say Branchpaw was doing nothing.
Instead he continued to watch the kits and apprentice play. He curled up and wrapped his tail around his paws in an effort to keep himself warm and his attention began to wander.

It didn't take long for the game of tag to turn into a game of tackle. Branchpaw was soon being followed by a couple kits and a few who decided to join in. She glanced back adn then one of the older kits launched onto her back. It slowed her abit carrying the extra weight. she let out a playful growl. The more jumped on her causeing her to fall. Branchpaw continued to growl playfully as the kits tried to pin her. she was careful of them and she kept onto her belly. She suddenly felt a sharp pain jolt though her tail and she yowled as she glanced back. "Hey not fair!"She meowed and she sat up a kit still holding on and she swiped at the tom kit sending he squeeling away. He then came back and they had gotten her on her side now on the gound. She laughed as the tried to get her on her back but she rolled back and the kits covered her, some pouncing on her tail.

Crowclaw chuckled softly when the kits started piling on top of Branchpaw. He figured there was nothing better to do so he pushed himself to his paws and padded slowly over to the pile of young cats.
"Having problems?" he asked Branchpaw, narrowing his eyes in amusement. "Seems like they might be too much for you," he commented as he eyed the kits warily. He would be able to talk to the little cats, but he could never really bring himself to play with them, so he was ready to back up if they decided to turn on him instead of their smaller opponent.

Branchpaw grinned, laughing. Branchpaw's tail swishing side to side as a few kits tried to catch it. She then took a paw and cuffed it gently over her ear as a kit patted at it from her back. "I guess so." She meowed. Soon she gave up and let them get her onto her back. One kit put his paw on her chest. She pretended to be dead. "Ha we got you!" He announced as the other kits cheered. She smiled and her eyes opened. "Not yet." She then jerked up. "Boo!" Branchpaw mewoed and the kits scattered. She got to her paws. she shook her fur. "And how are you?" She asked Crowclaw, drawing a paw over her ear and she smoothed out her fur from being ruffled by the playful kits. "They are a pawful." Branchapw then commented.

Crowclaw laughed softly. "I'm doing good," he replied and stretched a bit before sitting down and neatly curling his gray tail over his oatmeal colored paws. "A pawful, huh? I knew there was a reason I didn't play with them," he mused and shrugged the comment away. His gaze shifted from wherever it was he was looking to look at Branchpaw.
"What about you? What have you been up to besides being beaten up by kits?" A little joke, he wasn't sure if she'd get it or be offended. "How's training going for you?" he asked casually.

Branchpaw chuckled and then she looked over to see the kits being rounded up into the nursery. She watched as they protested and wined. Crowclaws question then caught her attention again. She paused for a moment she didn't know if she should say. I'll just tell him what I told Seastorm. She decided. Branchpaw looked into Crowclaws eyes. "Eclipsemoon's not feeling too well he's taking abit of a break but I did some battle training with Seastorm yesterday, but I'm better at fishing." She laughed. She didn't stand a chance at fighting but Seastorm said it would come with practise.

"Don't worry about it too much," he meowed, flicking his tail in her direction. "You'll get better as your training progresses. Most apprentice do," he commented. He wished he had a story about how he didn't fight to well in the beginning but became a great warrior. However, he'd taken to fighting fairly quickly, so there was no motivational story for Branchpaw today.
"I'm sorry to hear about Eclipsemoon. How was training with Seastorm?" he asked, trying to keep conversation going.

Echostory's pitch black pelt nearly hid her in the shadows, with the exception of her electric blue eyes. She purred in amusement as Branchpaw tackled the kits ever so gently, and stretched out her lithe body. Watching Crowclaw pad over to the apprentice, she turned her head, trying not to eavesdrop. After a while though, she decided to create a conversation with the two cats.
Her paws moved almost silently over the sandy ground of the camp, stepping in the drier areas to avoid snow. She padded up beside Crowclaw and ducked her head slightly. "Would you mind another cat for conversation?"[/color]

Branchpaw nodded. He was right she would get better as time passes. She would just have to work harder. she blinked and listened to Crowclaw talk. "Good she helped me alot we did well and thanxs about Eclipsemoon. He'll be better soon." Branchpaw agreed. As she waited for him to reply she turned to see Echostory approaching. "Sure you can join us." The apprentice replied. She didn't talk much to Echostory this was the first trime actually she'd talked to her. She then realized she was talking to all warriors now she couldn't help it be feel good that she was able to keep up with the other warriors.
