Eclipsemoon sat down at the reed land with his tail over his paws waiting for his apprentice, Branchpaw.He was so excited his first apprentice.I'll teach her everything I know and make her the best warrior anyone has ever seen. Unlike me.He shook his head to clear his dark thought.He flicked his tail excitedly.

Branchpaw bound through the reeds. She had run the elders some fresh-kill from the pile and she had to run fast to meet her metor Eclipsemoon. Her new metor. She was excited she could hear her heart pounding in he ears. She crossed his scent and she followed it to a clearing among the reeds. Branchpaw stalked in her eyes bright and curious for her first real lesson. "Hi!" She said brightly as she came up beside her mentor.

Eclipsemoon smiled when he scented his apprentice.Hi Branchpaw ready for your first lesson?He stood up and flicked his tail.I think we'll start doing a little fishing today allright./b]He started toward the reeds but stopped and looked at her.You lead the way to the river.Where so much has happened to me.

Branchpaw grinned she knew the way well. As a kit she'd caused trouble by sneaking off to the river or to the stream near camp. She nodded and then she darted out infront of him, slowing to a walk. "It's this way." She said and came through the reeds after a few minutes. She could hear the rushing water ahead. She tehn watched as a fish flashed out of the water. "Wow." Branchpaw exclaimed with wide eyes.

Eclipsemoon followed his eager apprentice.When he got to the river he sat down.no then come here and sit by me and be quiet so we don't scare the prey.Okay first make sure you're quiet and don't let your shadow fall in the water.Then when you see a fish you las your paw ourt and if you catch it you bite it's neck to kill it.Watch me.Eclipsemoon patiently waited for a fish to come by.Soon he spotted one and lased a paw out and caught it, with a swift bite to the neck it died.Now you try.

Branchpaw suddenly went still and she was quiet. She peired over the edge careful of her shadow. She spotted a fish. She grinned. Branchpaw tried to mimic Eclipsemoon's movements and she did but her shadow fell in and the fish darted away. "Rats..." Branchpaw growled and then she tried to wait for another.

It's allright Branchpaw.Just keep trying.He waited for another fish to come by for her to try again.If you have to you can move back a little bit.I'll be has helpful and patient with her but what if she snaps at me.Then what do I do?

Branchpaw took a breath in to calm her sudden frusteration, and she took a step back as Eclipsemoon had suggested. Will get it this time. She smiled again with derterminationa nd she watched as a fish broke off fromn another toward her. Her paw suddenly darted out and she let her claws slide into it as she tossed it into the air. she had to jump as she sank her fangs into it killing it instently.

He smiled proudlyExcellent job Branchpaw.That was na excellent catch.This time I'll catch a fish.We'll catch a few more to take back to camp okay.He eyed the water and flashed his paw out at the sight of a fish but missed.Mouse dung.He shrugged and waited again.That's what heppens when I pay attetion for a fish but my mind strays.He smiled at her.He waited again and this time caught a fish.

Branchpaw smiled and watched his moved were graceful and it almost looked like he was danceing that time. "Nice catch!"She meowed as he finished it off. Branchpaw watched again then turned back to the river and waited a fish came up and she dipped her paw in to catch it but before she chould bite it it slipped from her paws. "Crow!" She then tried to wait again.

He just smiled at her.Then looked back at the river.Was your life hard.He asked.You don't have to answer if you don't want to.He sighed.Ity's harder for me being in a clan considering I lived alone as a kit.I never thought I'd get an apprentice.He looked at her.Expecially not one like you. Bright, smart, courageus.You will make an excellent warrior.

Branchpaw sat down and looked to her mentor with her warm eyes glowing. "I got into alot of trouble for being to curious and got confinded to the nursery but that's about it." She meowed. "But I think you're the greatest mentor any apprentce could have, and thank-you. With your training I'll be with the best warrior." She continued.

Branchpaw laughed. "Your welcome and I know you will." She then dipped her paw into the water dragging out another fish and she killed it quickly. "My second try and I could fish!"She meowed.

Excellent job.You might end up better than me you know.I've been fishing ever sice I was kit.No one taught I taught myself.I've lived a hard, cold, lonely life of resnetment mostly.anyway I can deal with it.He sighed again and looked at the river.He lashed his paw out swistfully and caught a fish.It jumped out of his paw and on the grass.He bit it and put it on there msall pil;e of fish.How about you catch one more fish and then you chose what you want out of our pie and we put the rest for the clan.
