A small she-cat sat down in a squishy piece of ground. She came here alot to be by herself, just to think. She didn't even know why she was out here, she was just bored and then when she snapped back into the present, here she was sitting in her favourite spot. That's weird...I don't remember even walking out here... She shrugged it off.
The sun was low in the sky. Soon it would be nightfall, the sun totally gone for yet another night. Dawnfire realized that she was lonely. She sighed and layed down in the moss which cushioned her. She watched as the sun sank lower toward the horizon.
Then she heard a rustle in the leaves behind her. Her head whipped around, her shoulder's tensed for battle. The wind was blowing away from her, she couldn't scent anything. Nothing happened. Maybe it was just a mouse... She said, allowing herself to relax.

Icefang was out walking the pine forest. Her icy blue eyes watching for movement among the forest floor. Her silver pelt shimmering in the last few rays of the sun, then glowing witht he faint moon light that was comming over the mountains. Icefang scented the air and her eyes were drawn to a cat not far away. She came through the bushes. She reconized it was Dawnfire. Her paws felt good in the softer ground no so many pine needles to get your pads cut with. "Evening Dawnfire." She meowed her tone even but not exactly warm at the same time. Icefang never was the kind one of the clan always too serious for her age.

"Icefang!" Dawnfire gasped. "You scared me." Was all she said, leaving out the part of not paying attention. She sat back down and invited Icefang to do the same by flicking her tail. "What are you doing doing out here?" She said, her eyes glued back to the sky, now shining with the first few stars of the evening. It was an amazing site. and no matter how many times Dawnfire saw it, she would always love the stars, and the warriors anncestors. Shaking her head to clear it, she focused her attention back on Icefang, whil quickly cleaning some dirt off her shining pelt.

Icefang ginned slightly. She alway startled cats when they weren't paying attention, it was amusing. She let Dawnfire settle before she sat down beside the she-cat. "Seems I do that to everyone." She mummered at dawnfire's first comment. She looked up following Dawnfire's gaze to silverpelt that was growning more bright with every passing second. Icefang then let silence come after the other cat's question. She finaly parted her jaws to speak. "Just out for a walk and check a few marks that Thunderclan has been to more active at." It was getting colder out but snow had yet to fall.

"Hm." Dawnfire replied. She didn't question the other cat but she didn't believe her for some reason either. She decided not to press the topic though. "Do you think there will be more border troubles?" She knew int he past, borders were a huge hastle. Some still didn't feel that they were fair and wnated more room for their clans. Dawnfire's eyes were still glued on the stars. A wind ruffled her fur, and she shivered, although she wasn't very cold. Soon the snow wouldfall, leaving a thin blanket of white for the catds to find in the morning.

Icefang noticed Dawnfire's shivered as she shifted slight. "If your cold you should head back to came worst thing we need is someone getting sick. But yes during Leaf-bare the borders are worse at times especialy when the snow flies." Icefang explained. She sighed Icefang actually felt the cold was nice on her fur. A faint white puff came from her mouth as the warm hit the cold.

"Ya, I'm worried for this leaf bare. I've just got a creepy feeling. And I'm not cold, but if you are we could walk back to camp if you want." She said, dragging her eys away from the stars to look at Icefang. The she-cat didn't look cold but then again Dawnfire look cold and she wasn't so who knew. She felt the first cold drop land on her nose. It wasn't quite snow yet, but it was a wet and chilly raindrop. She shook her nose to rid of it and drew her paw over her nose to make sure all of the water was gone.

"I'm fine the cold feels nice on my fur." Icefang said. Icefang shifted her tail resettign around her paws. She too had a cold rain like drop come onto her ear and she drew her paw over her ear drying her ear and then she looked up and bits of wet snow fell from silverpelt over head, coming from cloud that threatened to cover Starclan from her veiw. She wonder what it was like suddenly. She then looked down to the trees below. Icefang watched as the water lapped the shore.

Dawnfire sighed happily. It was quiet but not an awkward silence. She too watched the lake as the drops fell into it making little dents in the water. Just then, like before when Icefang had startled her, she was only half paying attention to what was going on around her, the sights and the smells. A scent reached her nose, but only partailly paying attentoin, she couldn't identify it right away. Not prey she pretty sure though. "Do you smell that?" She asked Icefang, parting her jaws to see if she could figure out what it was. Maybe she was just imagining things.

She kept scenting the air and sudden;y the wind changed and the scent disapeared. She felt stupid. "Maybe I was just imagining things." She said, trying to hide her embarasment. Wow, she really needed to start paying attention more. She sighed. She couldn't skake the feeling that she hadn't been imagining things and there was out there...but Icefang couldn't scent anything.
[do you want a fox or something to pop out? or we can just leave it adn say dawnfire's going crazy XD ]

ooc:How about a fox make it more interesting.
Icefang sat in silence. She looked around and then she heard the bush ruzzle. Her icy eyes narowed and then a wind brough the scent to her. She waited and then the leaves russled again and she saw black paws. "We've got company..."She meowed calmly her eyes watching for the attack.

Dawnfire got up quietly. She knew she had scented something! She was stupid not to have scented it before, she scolded herself. She envied Icefang, who was remaining calm, and willed herself to do the same. She had just tensed for battle when a large red fox came through the bushes. It was one of the largest foxes she had ever seen. It wasn't fat, but lean and muscular. She sighed. Of course she couldn't scent thisfox.

Icefang got into a stance and she bared her long white sharp teeth. She let out a vicious hiss. The fox hissed back it's discusting jaws parted to sharp yellow unclean teeth. "Such discusting creatures..." Icefang growled. The fox then made a move to circle but no sooner it moved Icefang was on it crushing into it's side and driving it down her sharp claws drawing blood and she jumped back as it snapped for her neck. It was large but they were stupid but Icefang was smart and waited for a moment.

Dawnfire lunged then, while the fox was disracted with Icefang. It seemed like it had already forgotten about her standing there. She lunged, and her forepaw scratched it's long muzzle. Blood gushed out and the fox turned at her, but she was quicker. She dodged it's attack and went at it's side, leaving a long gash. It turned with speed and lunged at her with teeth, catching her leg before she could move it. She hissed and back out of the way, limping slightly. She crouched, waiting.
