Lostkit was walking around the tunnels. It's so boring here. When can we go back to our old territory, and when will Elkstar make me an apprentice? I'm of age. The kit was thinking to herself again. Maybe it was just because she was blind that she wasn't an apprentice. That's was worried her. What if she never became a warrior? I know where I'm going. I haven't stumbled more than the average kit. This is so not cool. The kit sat down on a dry piece of ground to wallow in her sorrow.

Hawkkit bounded along the tunnels. He was in disgrace today after he'd tripped over one of the smaller kits in the nursery and accidentally squashed another. The kits were fine, but the nursery queens were still furious with him. So, when he'd picked up the scent of Lostkit, Hawkkit had immediately followed. He'd always liked Lostkit, from a distance - it hadn't ever bothered him that she was blind. After all, what difference did it make? She almost seemed to see better than Hawkkit, since he was forever tripping over his own feet. Now with all of WindClan stuck in the tunnels he was worse than ever.
"Lostkit?" he mewed, skidding to a stop and sniffing uncertainly. Mousedung, he couldn't smell anything with the scent of dirt all around.
