Exploring the Darkness [[Dustpaw and Blackpaw]]

Oatpaw paused, waiting for the two toms, Blackpaw and Dustpaw, to catch up. In front of her were three tunnels leading to StarClan knew where. All her bright orange eyes could see were darkness. She felt a small twinge of fear. When she was a kit, tumbling into WindClan territory with a kittypet collar jingling on her neck, darkness had been her enemy. Gee, I really hope that Dustpaw and Blackpaw don't notice. They might think I have a kittypet surge coming! That would be embarrassing. She pondered the choice of tunnels while fighting down her fear.

Blackpaw followed Oatpaw.Where are we going Oatpaw in these tunnels.He looked at the three tunnelsHe walked to the midle oneI say we should take this one.He said hopingly.What do you think?He looked at her questioningly.

Dustpaw was a few paces ahead in the darkness. His amber eyes almost glowing in the faint light he spotted down in the darkness. He wasn't scared of this he couldn't.If I want to be the best I have to do this. He vowed to himself. Dustpaw turned to the tunnel where he saw the faint light. He glanced to Blackpaw as he suggested another tunnel. "I say we go this way." Dustpaw meowed.

ooc:Hey wanna have like a rivalry kinda thing with Blackpaw and Dustpaw?

Blackpaw glared at Dustpaw.Well I think we should go this way!His fur started bristling and he let out a growl.He turned to Oatpaw.Where do you think we should go.He asked kindyl.

[Sapphire]

Oatpaw blinked her bright orange eyes twice. Whoa, calm down Blackpaw. She looked at both toms. I think that we should take the tunnel that Dustpaw said, since I can smell a faint prey scent there. Who knows, we might find a new prey source for the Clan! Oatpaw glanced at Blackpaw, hoping he was not angry at her. She did smell a prey scent coming from the middle tunnel. She wondered vaguely if the two toms were having a rivarly for something. She shrugged and padded to Dustpaw and Blackpaw, in between, and walked forward. Scretly she also chose the tunnel because it had a light.

Dustpaw grinned in triamph. He and Blackpaw hadn't seen eye to eye evena s kits. Dustpaw could smell the faint breeze of prey. "Hurry up Blackpaw or we'll leave you in the dark." Dustpaw said his tone almost like a taunt. He and Oatpaw began to walk down the tunnel his eyes trailing to Oatpaw never looking back to make sure Blackpaw was comming. Adn then he looked forward again slightly more ahead of Oatpaw.

Blackpaw growled.He reluctlanty followed.That mangy piece of crowfood.blackpaw was so close to attacking him but he would get in an enprmous amout of trouble.Hahaha very funny Dustpaw but I don't think you'll leave me in the dark if there's a light.Bam stuck it lightly.Well I'll get you soon enough.Just like a nail.[/b]

Dustpaw kept walked. "Did you say something? I couldn't hear you over the still air and silence."Dustpaw asked. Dustpaw could feel then tension between them building again. Ahead Dustpaw could see the lightened path divide in three more directions of straight black no light in sight just black.

His fur started bristling.Oooh you think your so funny.You know what how about I don't come so you can be with your GIRLFRIEND!!As soon as the words were out he regretted saying that he won't come.He was so furious he had to say that though.Oh great now she'll hate me.Nice job mouse brain.

Oatpaw paused in her pawsteps. She listened to the toms arguments that got louder and louder every time until the last thing Blackpaw had said. Girlfriend?! What in StarClan is Blackpaw talking about? I'm only good friends with Dustpaw. She turned around to face Blackpaw, laying her tail on Dustpaw haltingly. Blackpaw, listen. she meowed, her orange eyes blazing. Me and Dustpaw are just good friends. You toms need to stop arguing, if there is anything in these tunnels, even prey, it'll probably here you already and either run away, or come towards us! She walked to Blackpaw. Blackpaw, you and I are just friends, ok? Let me gently remind you that you are a medicine cat apprentice. We can only be friends. She meowed to him softly. Alright, now, let's keep on going...BUT first, I want both of you to make up with each other. she meowed briskly.

[Fire]

Dustpaw snorted at the idea, Me apoligize to him?!. "I did nothing but chose what is right." The tom stated. He turned to Blackpaw. "So?!" He said waiting for his apoligy. If he was going to be leader how could he ever put up with Blackpaw?

[Sapphire]

Oatpaw smiled to herself. This Dustpaw is the Dustpaw I know from kithood! Always so head-strong and brave. She nodded at him. She understood how he thought he had done the right thing, choosing the prey scent tunnel. But she wondered how Blackpaw was going to react to his 'apology'.

Blackpaw stayed silent.He flicked his tail angrily and walked forward.When he went past Dustpaw he whispered.Your a rat.He continued walking into the tunnel.I'll never apoligize.Besides he's the one who stasrted itHe whipped around and looked at Oatpaw from where he was.I never wanted to be more than friends with you but i will never do one thing.Apoligize to him.He whipped around and padded away slowly.

[[er...my name is Oatpaw ]]

Oatpaw nodded again. She thought it would be like this. Dustpaw and Blackpaw had never liked each other even as kits. Right, I understand, about both of you. Ok, are you toms ready to race? She bounded a few more fox-lenths ahead of the walking Blackpaw and paused for three seconds, and took off at a fast run, heading for the right tunnel, brave now, at least...for a while.
