Creampelt was out trying to find prey. The snow crunched softly beneath her paws whenever she took a step and she was moving slowly and carefully because the still, silent air seemed to amplify the smallest sound. Finally she found what she'd been searching for a thin rabbit that was sniffing around the base of a tree. She crouched down until her belly fur was brushing the snow and began stalking forward.
Quietly....slowly... Creampelt instructed herself with all of her attention focused on the rabbit. However, one of her paws hit the ground too hard and the nervous rabbit bolted. With a soft curse the cream colored she-cat gave chase. She ran after the rabbit, always out of reach, until she was out of breath and had to give up her chase. She took a moment to regroup before noticing a strange scent. She quickly realized that she'd accidentally run over the ShadowClan border when she was chasing her prey. Deciding to just leave and pretend she hadn't accidentally trespassed, she quickly turned around and headed back for the border which was about a foxlength away. "I hope no one saw me," she meowed softly to herself as she looked over her shoulder for any ShadowClanners.

Snow had fallen the night before, this made the soft ground of Shadowclan frozen and strange feeling. The large russian blue paused midstep and gazed down in a small frozen pool, leaves and grasses covered the top. With a brisk sweep of the paw he cleared its surface and gazed into it, it reflected his face back at him. He sighed, tilting his head slightly so that the small scar that crossed his eyelid and cheek showed, you could only see it in certain light. He closed his eyes and shook his head he silently wished that the voice inside his head would leave him alone today, but he could only hope. Opening his eyes Drizzlefrost looked up towards a fleeing rabbit. What the? Then slowly a fresh Thunderclan scent washed over him and he perked his ears, gazing towards teh border. A slender she-cat slowly made her way back to the border line, looking over her shoulder. He stood to the right of her, and he moved forward. "What are you doing here?"

Creampelt gasped and jumped away when another cat spoke beside her. She turned to face the cat and assumed a defensive posture, just in case. "I was chasing a rabbit and accidentally crossed the border," she explained calmly. "I meant no harm. I was just headed back." she meowed. Her tail brushed gently back and forth behind her pushing some of the more powdery snow to the side. Her gaze flicked from the ShadowClan tom to the ground in thought before she spoke again. "I'm sorry." After she apologized, she looked up to see his reaction.

The large tom cat stopped less than a foxlength from the creamy she-cat. He gazed at her for a long moment before responding, "We better get you to the border before anyone else shows up then". He flicked his tail and nodded kindly to her, he wasn't angry like he should be. She didn't take anything he thought. He walked at her side and glanced in her direction for a brief moment as they walked, "Are you on a hunting patrol or by your lonesome?" His voice had a hint of confusion or wonder in it, he simply didn't know if the she-cat was alone, or with someone.

Creampelt's posture straightened and her head tilted to one side when he just suggested she get back to the border. There was no aggression in the tom's voice and that surprised her. She thought for sure that she would have gotten her pelt ripped off if she'd been caught and yet...
"Oh, I'm alone. The hunting patrol already went out this morning and I decided I'd just be a little extra help, but I guess not. Silly rabbits," she meowed in a lame attempt at a joke. She paused for a moment to hold one of her paws up and out of the snow before continuing after him. "I don't think we've met yet," she meowed suddenly. If he wasn't going to attack her, maybe this could be an opportunity to make a friend. "I'm Creampelt."

Snow was cold, and yet ice was colder, or so thought Drizzlefost. His pale yet brilliant eyes gazed at small pools of past slush, now slush mountains, of ice that is. He flicked his ears back in the direction of the now missing rabbit, we'll hopefully get it later. He heaved a small sigh and remembered when the last rabbit crossed into their clutches, it ran and ran, out on a small piece of ice. Poor creature. He listened halfheartedly to Creampelts response, not because he didn't care, simply because he was gazing at her and lost in thought. ""I'm Creampelt."" He dipped his head kindly and introduced himself. "Lovely to officially meet you then Creampelt, I am Drizzlefrost."

"The same to you, Drizzlefrost" Creampelt meowed with a small bow of her head. She'd noticed that he didn't seem to be paying complete attention and for a moment she was offended. Then she remembered that he was from another Clan so she couldn't expect his full attention especially since he was just escorting her to the border. "You seem distant," she stated. "Is something wrong or are you always like that?" she asked and tilted her head slightly. There was always the chance she was concerned over something that was normal for the other cat.

Drizzlefrost nodded to her as she spoke her name, now looking ahead and finally paying attention. Mornin' sunshine! No, leave. Please! Not happinen' kiddo. Drizzlefrost flattened his ears against his head and scowled, why did he have to annoy himself so? Actually he wasn't quite sure it was himself, it was some part of his mind or something, maybe a ghost. He flicked his ears in Creampelts direction as they walked, he looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "I'm sorry, yes I have...well no. I don't know." He looked down sadly, how pathetic was he now that a Thunderclan cat was recognizing his strangeness? He swished his tail to his side, "Your not the only one that thinks there is something wrong with me" he murmured.

Creampelt took a few steps before finally realizing what Drizzlefrost had meant by 'wrong' and she quickly shook her head. "No, no, when I said wrong, I meant that you looked upset, not...you know," she meowed, flicking her tail and feeling a little uncomfortable. She didn't want him to think she was judging him because she wasn't.
"Why would anyone think something is wrong with you?" she asked the question before she could stop it. She silently cursed the curiosity that forced her to ask the question. Oh well, since the question was already asked, she might as well see if he answered.

The large tom cat sighed, his head now dropped lower than the height of his shoulders. His normally kind eyes seemed sad, and if not sad depressed. He swished his tail to his side and might have accidentally brushed Creampelt. ""you know?"" He flicked his eyes up to Creampelts for a brief moment. ""Why would anyone think something is wrong with you?"" hah! Can't she see you? Please, shut it up What? Talking? Good luck with trying to get me to stop clan cat! Clan cat? What exactly are you? I am you, I am your mind, I am your awareness, I am your soul.
He swallowed and looked up to Creampelt, his uneasiness shining through. "Why would anyone think there is something wrong with me?" He lashed his tail and stared forward. "I stare off randomly, normally when someone is talking! Why? Because I hear a Starclan forbidden voice in my head. Everyone thinks I'm crazy." He flexed his claws as they padded up to the Thunderclan border. "No one here really likes me, I'm just the crazy lonely cat that is only good for hunting and no fighting." he shook his head "No more fighting." That's right crazy. I'll kill you if you keep interrupting me! To do that you would have to kill yourself He dropped to the ground pawing at his face, like a kit that had been attacked or threatened. Normally cats would smack him or call him crazy and then leave, would Creampelt do the same?

She knew that he probably didn't want to be pitied, but she couldn't help it. Her eyes softened and her ears flattened slightly. She wasn't completely sure how cats could reject another cat just because they were different. Maybe it was just her caring personality that made her feel that way, she didn't really sure.
"Surely that's not all you are good for?" she prompted gently and gasped when he fell to the ground and started pawing at his face. "Drizzlefrost! Are you okay?" she asked, concern lacing her voice as she took a step forward to inspect him.

He pawed at his face, a hopeless attempt to void the voice from his mind. Finally he let his paws drop and he stared straight ahead of him. "The voice won't leave me alone. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. I'm not. It's there. I don't know who or what it is. I try everything to get rid of him. Her. It!" He froze and breathed in and out very slowly. "I told it to leave me alone or I'd hurt it and it said I'd have to kill myself before it would leave." Tears glistened in his eyes. "I'm sorry Creampelt. You don't have to listen to me babble". He turned his gaze to the ground.

Creampelt nodded sympathetically and gave Drizzlefrost's ear a lick in an attempt to comfort him, similar to a queen comforting her frightened kit. It didn't even occur to her that she might be stepping over the line with the gesture. After all, he was of another Clan, not to mention she barely knew him. "It's okay," she soothed. "It's not babbling. It sounds like you needed to get that off your chest so I'll listen," she explained, still sniffing at him to make sure he was okay.
She paused, unsure about whether or not she should ask the next question, but she did. "Are you gonna be okay or would you like me to stay for a bit longer?" If he still needed to talk about the voice, Creampelt thought she remember a small clearing on the border where the two could sit and talk without being on the wrong territory.
