Think thats enough for now? She asked hopefully. For some reason she just really ddin't want to hunt right now. They had caught enough prey. She was a very good actress and could hide every emotion if she wanted to, and only when she was upset did her emotion show through her carefull mask. Her hope showed though. Why was she so desperate?

Yeah I think that's enough. He sat down. His pelt prickled but he tried to ignore it. He looked at her. Let's go see if the lake's frozen. He jumped up and raced off almost hittting a tree. He stopped at the lake. His pelt stopped prickling.

She laughed as he dodged around a tree, and payed attention so that he couldn't make fun of her for running into something. She was very fast, but ran along side him. She didn't feel like showing off. She stopped at the edge of the lake when he he did and looked out. It looked frozen, but there could be places that weren't. She looked over to him to see what he wanted to do.

He stood up and put his paw on the ice. It was cold but he didn't care. He pushed down on the ice till it cracked. He withdrew his paw quick;y. Then he put two paws down and pushed down so it broke away. He smiled triumphantly. Viola. Now we have water. Cold water to exact.

She smiled. She didn't want to go in that bad, but it didnt really matter. it wasn't like she was going to jump in. She sat down and stuck her paw in the water, testing it. Putting just the tip of her paw in, she shivered and pulled it out in surprise. "Wow! That's really cold!" She exclaimed, and put her paw back down. She couldn't help but smiling again. He had acred like it was nothing.

He laughed. It's cold all right but that's the fun part about it. He too a sip of water. The icyness splashed over his tongue. It felt good and chilling. He looked to Silkpaw smiling. His fur tingled again. He looked to the ice. I wonder if it's stron enough to hold my weight for a few seconds. He wondered.

She saw a glint of something in his eyes...eagerness mixed with something else. Was he thinking of...of jumping on that piece of ice? No! It wouldn't hold him! It didn't even hold him pressing his paws onto it! Don't even think about it. She growled sternly. I am NOT going to fish you out of there! Ok, if she had to, she would, but she would hate every second of it. That water was just so cold!

Awwww why not. It's be awesome. It be just like wallking on water. He looked the at the ice eagerly. But if you won't fish me out I'll have to fsh myself out. He stood up mischieviously and put one paw on the ice. I won't really do it. I just want to see what she does. Then he put another paw on it and heard crack and then shatter. Then splash!! He was in. He yelped surprised.

She wanted to scream, but my the time anyone else got there, he would be dead. KNowing that she was lighter than he, she stepped onto the ice, knowing if she fell in, they would both be dead. She stayed close to the shore, because the ice wouldn't hold both of them. And it wouldn't hold her for long. Hang on! She yelped. Sticking her paws in the water, she fished around until her claws dug in his pelt. She tried lifting him, but he was to heavy. Taking a deep breath, she stuck her head into the water, grabbed onto his scruff, and put him on the shore. He was breathing. Her back leg fell through the ice, and she froze. Who would save her? Taking another step she found the ice cracking. She knew she would have to jump, so she did. Her front legs landed on the bank, but her back end remained in the river, where there was no ice. Great.

Reeelax.[b/] She chattered. She was kind of mad, but he was just being an apprentice, which was what they were. It was a stupid mistake, one she should have tried harder to stop. It's my fault for not stopping you. We're both ok, so it doesn't matter.[b/] She started licking her fur to warm and dry herself.

He nodded and looked up.Maybe we should go back to camp and have Sunmist or Redpaw take a look at us? I don't think either of us want to get sick. He looked at her and flicked his tail.Getting sick is the last thing I need. Just something in the way of becoming a warrior. Ugh He flexed is claws and looked up at the sky.

You're probably right. She said, smiling. He looked kind of...annoyed that he had fallen into the river. He acted so weird. he should be shocked or something but instead he looked almost angry. Although if you had listened to me we wouldn't have to go see anyone. She said teasingly, flicking her tail back and forth.

He smiled Yeah your right and I was wrong. He swiped at her. You might have to pin me down next time though. He said grinning as they walked back to camp. I feel sorta guilty about having to go bother them though. He admitted. I feel so stupid now

You should. She said, only half teasing. And don't even think about going and doing that again, because i am not going to fish you out. She smiled and lashed out with a paw, catching him on the ear. Pinning you down might not be the hardest thing to do. She replied and started walking.
