Redpaw paused and turned around to face the warriors. "This way," he meowed. "Please hurry."

He turned around again and ran back to where Sunmist, Silvertongue and Crowclaw had been. He cautiously peered through the reeds to see if they were still there or if the battle had moved or even stopped. A quick glance was cast back over his shoulder to make sure Silentstep and Ghostshadow were still with him and he went back to watching for Sunmist.

Silvertongues claws dug deeply into her flesh. Sunmist threw him off, yowling and spitting and trying desperately to pin her down. She was never much of a fighter, but she knew enough.
He lunged back at her, clawing at her face and her underbelly, his eyes wide with madness.
"STOP STOP SILVERTONGUE NO!"
The medicine cat threw herself at the tom, only for him to pin her down again, and slowly begin to choke her to death.

"Silvertongue, stop!" Crowclaw hissed. He charged at the crazed tom again, trying to knock him away from Sunmist. He looked up, hoping Redpaw brought more warriors soon.

Redpaw gasped when he reached the fighting cats and saw Sunmist getting choked. He whirled around to look for the two warriors that were behind him.

Silentstep flicked her ears back as she raced past her brother, following Redpaw as she ran. Her fluffy white pelt stood out greatly against their surroundings, her bright eyes were alert and clear. She shot a quick glance over her shoulder to spot her brother racing along behind them. Ghostshadow was the fighter, not her. As they burst into the clearing she spotted the crazy cat scratching at Sunmist. She gasped and unsheathed her claws as Silvertounge started choking Sunmist. With a yowl the smaller Turkish Van launched herself at Silvertounge with her claws outstreached.[/color]

Silvertongue yowled, releasing Sunmist from his grasp as he was knocked over. Is back hit the ground, knocking the wind out of him. But that didn't phase him as he pounded away at the she-cat with his hind claws, baring his teeth with his ears pinned flat to his head. The tuxedo tom could not let this little cat beat him.

Coughing for breath, Sunmist crouched in the grass, her vision blurring. She'd have slit Silvertongues throat, were she not a medicine cat, and she wasn't his and Runningferns friend from kithood.
As she recovered, her anger welled, her eyes narrowed.
She scented Silentstep and Ghostshadow, but Silentstep was the one who'd saved her.
She cast a glance over at Crowclaw, her face tight with worry. She hoped Redpaw would stay out of the fight, but she couldn't see him.
Sunmist took a deep breath in, and charged forward to help Silentstep.

Redpaw was weaving back and forth a decent distance away from the fighting cats, trying to figure out how he could help. He hated feeling useless in a situation like this, but his path was for healing, not fighting. That didn't influence the desire to protect his mentor though. However, the older cats seemed to be handling it for now.

Silentstep bared her teeth as she was battered by the hind paws. "Your mouse brained fool!" She flexed her claws, pushed herself away and whirled around to face the attacker. She then darted towards Silvertongues face, nipping at his ear as she went.

Ghostshadow froze, staring at his sister, the sister he protected, as she attacked a tom twice the size of her. Shes okay! Turning he darted to the medicine cats side and tried to lay his tail over her shoulders. "Okay, breath." Nervously he looked up to his sister.
