The night was just beginning to fall and the shadows now lengthened. A owl hooted near by and in a soft rustle it flew of only to reappear with a something in its claws. Apart from that all floor life seemed quite.
A dark she-cat looked up and sighed as she caught sight of the bird, was it a bad omen. The small cat got up yawn and pounced on the rock. Not only had her deputy disappeared but so had her next choice. Was she cursed she had also found a kit wandering around the forest at night. Would she be striped of her clan little by little?.
"All thoughs old enough to catch there own prey join me " They where not the exact words but she was tired had no want to say them completely. She got up and walked towards the edge. Her paws treading on the soft rock. There she waited for her clan to join her.

Squirrelpelt's head rose when she heard Deathstar call for the Clan. With her whiskers angled forward curiously, she stood up and trotted over from where she'd been dozing just outside the warriors den and went to sit down in front of the leader. Wrapping her tail around her paws, she began to wait for her Clanmates to come over as well.

Spiritpaw who had been napping in the apprentices den heard her lead call. She rose to her paws and walked to where her leader stood, interested in what there was to say. She waited as more of her clanmated gathered round curiously. She heard somone call out " is somthing wrong?" but even she did not know the answer.

Ivymoon placed herself strategically: close enough to hear, but far enough away from the rock to dart away as soon as possible. She was tired, she hadn't slept in a few days. Things were bumbling about in her head; thoughts about Thrushwood, thoughts about Windclan's sudden disapearences. My friend, she thought sadly. However irritating he may be, I pray he is alright.
The large warrior put herself down near an apprentice, not turning her attention on any cat but her leader. The other cats were not, at least now, all that intriguing to her as the leader was. Ivymoon could small something foreboding. Whatever it was, she wanted to learn of it, learn why. Just with everyone else.

Stoneclaw walked into the camp. Prey clamped in his jaw. He looked over to his leader and padded slowly to the pile. He then turned moving towards the crowd of cats that had gathered already. He picked a spot and sat down waiting for the news his leader had.
Maybe there would be a new deputy chosen now. He dipped his head, remembering the old deputy with a sigh. It wasn't right that the deputy had to die, but it happened and the clan had to grow strong once more.

Her ears lowered a notch, mainly with confusion. "Hello, apprentices," she said slowly, lifting and lowering a front paw. It was a strange yet simple reflex.
She never much paid attention to any of the apprentices when she was in or around camp; perhaps a nod and a brisk word of encouragement, but that was all. Ivymoon was known to be a bit cold when it came to younger cats; and yet these apprentices? She blinking at them before her gaze returned to the leader. Curious.

Spiritpaw looked around almost all the cats had gathered. Whats was this meeting about she thought. She looked around and spotted a group of apprentices she ran over to them and sat down. She noticed Ivymoon sitting nearby " Hello" she mumbled.

Doomkit watched from the entrance of the nursery. She couldn't join them; she dearly wanted to. After her little chat with Deathstar she came home to find a very enraged mother awaiting her. A severe tongue lashing insued, but didn't last for ever. She knew it couldn't, and maintained her composure through the whole thing, puzzling her mother. She remembered her leaders words with pride. She stuck out her chest, pretending she was an apprentice awaiting her warrior name. She watched the proceedings with wide, wondering eyes.

Tan paws scraped along the dirt ground as the medicine cat stood, his back arched in a long streach. Ahh another meeting. Will a deputy finally be chosen? His golden eyes searched the clearing, if so who? He yawned and paced over to sit close to the highrock, his golden eyes sweeping the clan, searching for his apprentice. He sighed, he couldn't see her. Maybe she's out 'n about. But he didn't bother looking, if she was going to miss the meeting it would be on her own account, so he turned to look at Deathstar.
A large blue gray tom stood in the warriors den and looked around. He haden't been sleeping so he heard the call just fine. Flexing his claws he moved to the entrance and pushed his way through the entrance. If the deputy was going to be chosen it was about time, but would Deathstar make the right choice? He moved over to sit near Squirrelpelt, he haden't talked to the she-cat much at all but at least he would seem like he was actually involved in clan life if he sat near another.

[ I started this before the Occ ceremony's where made, so *shrug*, I didn't really feel like doing this properly and writing it all out]
Deathstar looked down and sighed as cats gathered. She was surprized for the position Ivymoon took although Ivy was a very shifty cat. "We have been blessed with many apprentices and so its time to give them there respected mentor". She sat down allowing herself to relazed. A glint of amusement went in her eyes when she saw Doomkit. "The apprentice's and mentors will be Swiftpaw - Squirrelpelt Spiritpaw - Drizzlefrost Articpaw - Ivymoon Arrowpaw - Dreamchaser Runningpaw - Stoneclaw Shimmerpaw -Quicksilver Doompaw - Toxicshadow . She had taken some risk's and hoped they would work to her advantage."And for the gathering the cats that will be going are, Ivymoon, Dreamchaser, Talonwing, Scarletpaw, Squirrelpelt, Swiftpaw,Runningpaw". She still hadn't let Doompaw of the hook and she would not be allowed at the gathering for at least a few more.

Bright golden eyes watched the respected leader as she began to speak. A small smile crossed his face, Scarletpaw, she needed to be found. He looked over his shoulder towards the rest of the clan, they were probebly going to be overjoyed at the thought of apprentice's beeing given out. Him however, was slightly upset. Scarletpaw, show yourself he thought angrily as he stood and turned. Lonley he looked away and padded away from the group, nodding to an estatic Articpaw as he went.
Drizzlefrost smiled his sly smile. Turning he gazed at the young she-cat. This was his first appretnice, and with that a new responsibility. He was still young, but not a newly made warrior at that. He flicked his tail to his side and moved towards the apprentice, pausing as Articpaw stepped in his way. Apprentices... He nodded at Spiritpaw as he stopped infront of her. "Congratz" He then leaned forward and kindly touched noses with his new apprentice
Articpaw had been laying in the shade of the apprentice's den while the cats gathered. He didn't have enough will to move to the group. But just as he was about to get up and leave he heard his name get called, then Ivymoons. He smiled, turned and darted towards the cats. I get a mentor! His darker siamese paws gently pounded the ground as he moved towards Ivymoon. He smiled as he neared her, but almost ran into Drizzlefrost.

The dark apprentice froze in her place, stunned. She had a mentor... it seemed like, for the longest time, she'd never get one. But she got one. And it was the clan leader...odd, she thought Deathstar would have hated her for leaving the camp. She looked up, her dark eyes shinning with pride. A thousand thoughts ran through her head. She wouldn't have to see her mother anymore... She'd sleep in the apprentices den... She'd have a mentor, an actual mentor. Doompaw looked up at her mentor at the mention of the gathering, her heart dropped a little bit with disappointment, but all things considering... it was a good day. She rose to her paws after the excitement was dying to a buzzing din, and padded over to her new mentor.
Dreamchaser nodded. He was going to the gathering...and he had an apprentice; Arrowpaw. He looked toward Doompaw, purring with amusement at her reaction. The creamy tom padded toward the young apprentice and flicked her gently with his tail. " Hello, Arrowpaw." He purred.

Off to the gathering? Ivymoon's left ear twitched. It pleased her, moreso than getting an apprentice. One she didn't know, for a start. Perfect. You'll do fine, mother said. You're great at meeting new cats, mother said. I say pah. Her thoughts were bitter, sitting up slightly to per over the crowd, searching out her apprentice. Articpaw? Ah, there he is.
"Hang on there, speed." The apprentice was racing toward her, nearly running over a cat or two in his way. Her eyelids lowered. Oh, boy. He's a...big...one. "Articpaw," she said stiffly, lowering her muzzle to his as he approached. Ivymoon forced a grin; at least it wasn't female. She wasn't sure if she could handle a young she-cat without getting thouroghly fed up with her. She might get fed up with a male, too, but it was a completely different matter.

It took Squirrelpelt a moment to register that she'd been given an apprentice. Well, an apprentice and she was going to the gathering, but she figured that the apprentice was more important news. Slowly, she pushed herself to her paws and looked around for her new apprentice. She didn't really know much about Swiftpaw, but she'd seen him around camp from time to time.
But now, she couldn't seem to locate the sandy colored apprentice in the crowd of her Clanmates. She noticed other mentors going over to their apprentices and her ear flicked back briefly in annoyance that she couldn't find Swiftpaw.
