DustxSand:
Look at them. A brown-furred lump thought. He was staring with one eye open at two ginger cats, curled up next to each other.Fireheart and Sandpaw. Why couldn't that be him curled up with the orange beauty? He loved her longer and probably more than that flea-bag ever would.
I hate him,and I will get my revenge. With that last hateful thought,Dustpaw fell asleep.
Light flooded through the open branches of the warrior's den.Sandstorm and Dustpelt had been made warriors. It had been moons since he had thought of them being together. He rose and stretched, sun warming his dusty fur that he was named for.Sandstorm was in the clearing, washing herself.Perfect.Dustpelt slowly walked up to the clanmate, and in his mind, future mate.
"Hey,Sandstorm."He greeted.The metioned she-cat looked up.
"Hello,Dustpelt."Dustpelt wanted to run up to her and nuzzle her the way her voice drifted through the air.Her scent sent tremors down his spine. He inhaled deeply, and came out with what he needed to say.
"Sandstorm,we've always had a close bond. And no matter what,I always have and always will love you.You may not feel the same, but I just needed you to know that. You make my heart stop when you speak to me,I always tremble in your presence. But you love Fireeheart,I know that. And I want you to be happy."
The love-sick tom looked into her dazzling green eyes. With a last dip of the head,he spun and ran away, not wanting to look at her anymore. He dove into the forest that surrounded the camp, running from his friend, crush, love.Tears streamed from his amber eyes as he sprinted through the undergrowth. He didn't want anyone to see his tears.
"Dustpelt!"The voice reached Dustpelt's ears as the one he longed for called his name.He stopped and waited for her.The tabby was at his final destination. He turned and looked at the she-cat.His fur was bristling.
"What do you want?!"He hissed at the shocked Sandstorm.
"D-dustpelt.I'm so s-sorry...but we can never be together.I love Fireheart..."He voice drifted off as her eyes gazed dreamily at something Dustpelt couldn't see.
"I already know that! Now go back to your fleabag of a mate! You might as well live your unruined life with him!"Dustpelt hissed. He spun around and ran to the edge of the water.
"Goodbye, and I hope he loves you as much as I do."He whispered to his love before plunging into the icy dpeths of the river. He opened his mouth, letting water rush in.The dark brown tom struggled to the surface, chocking on the water that surounded him.
"DUSTPELT!"Her voice was the last thing he heard before he met starclan.
Her smooth-as-honey voice.
o.0 What can I say. I love tragic endings.
CrowxFeather:
Her grave was damp, soaked from the tears of a crushed lover.
“I could have saved her…”His grief faded and anger took over him.
“Why did you take her, Starclan!? We could have been happy!” His dark gray tail lashed back and forth as he yowled to the sky. His claws dug into the tear-soaked earth beneath him. He wanted to rip each star from Silverpelt until he found hers.
“You know it’s not true.” A voice said from behind him. The tom whirled around, recognizing the voice instantly.
“I….thought you were dead!”
“I am.” The apprentice’s tail drooped. The moment that had almost made the sorrow disappear was gone, and he was dropped back into the pit of darkness. Still, through the black one look at her made him smile.
“I need you to know that even though you may feel there is nothing left to live for, there is. Many people care about you and they need you to finish the journey. Just remember,” The she-cat stopped to lick the black cat’s cheek,” I’ll always love you.” And with that, the starry-furred cat faded.
“Wait! Please stay! Please!” He tried to leap at her, but the cat had already disappeared.
“Feathertail…”The tom put his head in his paws and dug his claws into the ground. And while he did, he swore he heard someone whisper.
‘I love you, Crowpaw.’
GrayxSilver:
I thought she could mend my broken heart.I thought she would replace Silverstream. She formed a lump on my already malformed heart. Why had I been so foolish as to take another mate?To forget her so willingly?A ragged sigh escapes my lips.I was using Millie.Thoughts of the tabby swarm my mind, making my heart heavier than it was before.I remembered her last words. “Take care of the kits.”Silverstream didn’t desrve to die.Tears began to trickle down my cheeks to the floor below.I shut my eyes closed as more began to fall and blur my vision.Starclan could’ve taken me,but instead they made me suffer.I looked up.Was she feeling the same way?Did she want to take my pain away?Or did she hate me for taking another mate?I could have saved her.I could have gotten Cinderpelt sooner. It was my falt for falling in the lake.It was all my fault.
“I’m sorry,Silverstream!” I cried to the sky, hoping she would hear.
“It’s okay,my love. You have nothing to be sorry for.”I spin around to see her starry pelt sitting before me.
“Silverstream!I could’ve saved you.I could’ve remembered you,at least.I’m sorry for everything I did wrong.”I whisper to her.A tear drops to the ground, followed by another. Her shining pelt ripples as she bends down to lick my cheek.
“Nothing would have changed.Starclan had it planned. And I’m glad you moved on and stopped grieving.I really am.”She mews, her voice smoothly rushing around my head.I look up at her.
“I love you,Silverstream.”
I love you too,Graystripe.”And with that, she fades into the night, leaving me healed. My once broken heart had been mended.
